i have an xbox that can play all games like prototype 2 without a problem but i haven't updated it with the latest dash yet, my question is if i update to the latest dash would i still be able to play my burned games? I have a lite on drive and i haven't been banned yet, My dash is from the september 2010 update the kinect dash and haven't updated it ever since.
What firmware version are you running? Is your "prototype 2 original? If your on 2.0 and you update you will not be able to play your burnt games.I suggest you flash back to stock firmware first then update to the latest dash. Then flash to 3.0 firmware.A lot of new games require the lastest dash and game updates. All your burnt games the contain AP2.5 will have to be repatched with the latest abgx360 and reburnt.Burns that were made for 2.0 firmware for your drive are not compatable with 3.0 due to the new topology data layout that replaces the old AP2.5 sectors of the disk.Full iso's of your disks need to be burnt with a ihas B drive and modded burnermax firmware and never truncated as you dont burn the whole iso with a standalone burner and could possible flag you for a ban.

My protype 2 is not original. All my games are burned.. Would it be possible if i update my dashboard first then update to LT 3.0 without flashing back to stock??

Its always suggested to revert back to stock firmware first then update to reduce the flag of a console. As you have not updated since 2010 you will be hit with the dae.bin silent update that came in last year which flags your console. All AP2.5 and XGD3 backups that contain the now older AP25 replay data will fail AP2.5 challenges and will not boot. With 3.0 its different as your burnt games require AP2.5 topology data to replace the old ap2.5 challenges. This means all your backups would, like i said be useless and have to be patched with new topolgy data and reburnt. What drive to you have in your xbox?

Ok so you mean all my back up games now will be useless if i update to the latest dash?? Is there any way to prevent this? I have a Lite On drive, and i don't care about getting flagged cause I think my console's flagged anyway from the first AP 2.5 game last 2010 which was need for speed hot pursuit I think. Anyway thanks for your replies

If you went on in 2010 and updated and were running backups that were not stealth patched then you may have been flagged. The DAE.BIN Silent update came out on or around the 16th Nov 2011.If running 2.0 firmware and playing backups it changed the dae.bin without your knowledge. This stops all backups from running. The only way around this at the time was to download a title update for every game backup and place it on a compatable flash drive and run with the flash drive still plugged in.This link will help you understand further. The 3.0 firmware for your liteon drive and the latest dash will future proof somewhat to play backups but will render your current backups useless.Your iso's are fine they just need to be repatched and reburnt with the latest abgx360 a ihas b drive for xgd3 backups, verbatim DL and imgburn.Hope this clarfies some of your worries. http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-152...and_faq-917984/

Yeah I've been flagged, but I can play all the games listed there, so that must mean im on LT+ 3.0, sorry for being such a noob, but i don't flash my console, i go to a hacking shop and let them do the work, ok so another question?? If you have been flagged and you change your dvd drive, will the flag be removed?

No the flag is not controlled by the dvd drive or its key its controlled by something called the nand which is a chip on the mobo that stores info about your dvd its key, games copy protection. Its a bit like having a bios chip on a pc.So no the flag cannot be removed unless you jtag and flash the nand chip which involves soldering, more hardware and a little bit of programming. This way effectivly removes the flag and is checked against xval.If you think your on LT 3.0,then its always safer to flash back to stock, update then reflash back to 3.0.But ive personally sometimes updated without flashing back to stock and had no problems. If you think your on LT3.0 update the dash. But if your on 2.0 you may run into problems with the silent update.Ive got a console which is flagged but still use online.Although i make sure all backups are stealth patched and xgd3 games are burnt through imgburn with a IHAS b drive and never truncated. The previous sentence is very important. Also it might be worth asking the shop you went to which firmware they put on there and ask for a copy of your dvd key.

Thank you so much for so much information that you've given me, and for the patience to answer all of my questions, thank you, I'm just probably gonna update my dash and then maybe update again to the latest firmware, is that what i should do? One last question has anyone been banned on xbox live for failing the AP 2.5 check?
