I have I modded 360 with 1.6 iextreme lite-on drive and my game 'backups' run but for instance GTA IV has strange shadow textures. Also RE5 running at 1080p has weird black lines. That's using a component cable. 1080p HDMI leaves green dots on the samsung 1080p ready tv. Any explanations faulty xbox, maybe faulty lite-on drive. BTW I use Verbatim disks made in India can't find any singapore ones lying about.
Also games generally run weirdly with lag sometimes. I hope this isn't the xboxs fault!

GPU on the way out perhaps? Do you get the same symptoms with original games? Have you tried a different video cable?

+1. i've gone through this twice in the last 2 weeks on 2 different xbox's. sad to say, but it sounds like the beginning of the end.

Dam, owww well I'll trry and sell it on bay with couple of games surely modded xbox must be worth a bit more

It will get removed for being modded actually. So no, if anything it is worth less.

Do you know where I could possibly sell it.
Also I think I know the cause of the problem I was using a short HDMI cable and could only just manage to get it connected to the TV but the console was standing at a angle. That might be it is there anyway of replacing GPU with repairs like hard drives btw yeah it's a long shot

Hmmm... you might want to try selling it locally... maybe craigslist or something. Please be sure to let them know aboutthe video issues. I'd be pretty mad if someone didn't disclose that. As far as your GPU going out, this happens to a ton of XBOX 360s... not because of an HDMI cable but faulty design by M$. You can try the X-Clamp fix but you are just delaying the inevitable. Sounds like you're gonna need to buy a new console soon.
