do they need to be "Flashed" to read back up games? do they need you to mod them ? I am new to all this. I have never had a moded game before, but , I Do Not want to risk being banned from Xbox Live, so, i think flashing is my only way. I play on Xbox Live often so that is why i do not want to be banned from there and also i dont want to open the xbox so can i flash it with out taking it apart?(like EX. can i flash an external Rom such as a usb and run back up games off that or no ?) I know nothing of the inside of Xbox 360's or how they differ. I am just a noob who wants to play backup games that i own a legal copy of and also i would like to know how to decrypt the 360 games to make backups of the games i have i have game copy software but it wont decrypt it i have sevral programs that copy games but none of which will do 360 games so please help me and thanks in advance to those who do (Any Info Is Welcome)

The slim has been hacked but the custom firmware has not been released yet. You will have to open the system to get to the drive. As far as making backups you'll need 0800 firmware (not sure if they're coming out with this for the slim) and a program called xbox backup creator
