Hi i originally had a liteon 74850c but its now broke. was wondering if I have to replace that with another liteon or will philips or any other one work if flash correctly with dvdkey and ixtereme firmware? it wont be used online. thanks

You can spoof any drive, I personally use a benq spoofed as a liteon with unstealth firmware, so I never have to update again. But keep that defective drive for updating the console.

and by spoof do you mean just put the key from original drive to new drive along with the specific firmware?
