Hi I'm a newbie to this so I hope you can help me out!

I have bought an xbox live today and I am having problems connecting it to the internet and I'm using a wireless connection to do it. Can you please help me out how to connect it all up?(step by step if posible) thanks.

yes i have it but it will not download an update
