Hoping someone can help me with xbox live connection problems. In my house we have 3 computers in the bedrooms and in two rooms xbox 360 consoles. All computers and Xbox360 have there own ip address. If the kids are on the computers all work fine and connect to the internet no problem. However if someone is on live and someone goes on the internet on the computer the xbox live goes off. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your help guys but still having the same problem. I have a 20mb Virgin Media internet connection. I have 3 computers running off this connection at the same time using a using a 4 port safecom router. All computers can run on the internet at the same time and none of them are set on a home network they just have seperate ip address. The xbox 360 is set up the same way and connects fine as long as no one is surfing the internet on a pc. I can't understand why all computers work fine together on the internet but not the xbox 360. Any help would be appreciated as this is really doing my head in thanks in advance guys.

Hey there; i was going to suggest checking UPNP/Port Forwarding but am not sure that's where the problem lies as you say that live works when the other computers aren't using the net.
Thinking....
Main PC ~ Intel C2Q Q6600 (G0 Stepping)/Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3/2GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500/Zalman CNPS9700/Antec 900/Corsair HX 620W
Network ~ DD-WRT ~ 2node WDS-WPA2/AES ~ Buffalo WHR-G54S. 3node WPA2/AES ~ WRT54GS v6 (inc. WEP BSSID), WRT54G v2, WRT54G2 v1. *** Forum Rules ***

Problem resolved for anyone else who may encounter this problem.
To manually open a port, follow these steps:
1. Click "Start", and then click "My Network Places".
2. Under "Network Tasks", click "View Network Connections." (Or, right-click "My Network Places" on the desktop, and then click "Properties".)
3. Right-click the connection that you use for the Internet, and then click "Properties".
4. Click the "Advanced" tab, and then click "Settings".
***Note If the Settings button is unavailable, ICF is not enabled on this connection, and you do not have to open any ports (because they are all already open).***
5. Click "Add" to open a new port.
6. In the "Description" box, type a friendly name. For example, type File Sharing : Port 445.
7. In the Name or IP address of the computer hosting this service on your network box, type 127.0.0.1.
***Note You can specify the IP address of an internal computer. But you typically will use 127.0.0.1.***
8. In the "External port" and "Internal port" boxes, type the port number. Generally, this number is the same.
9. Click either TCP or UDP, and then click OK.
10. Repeat steps 1 through 9 for each port that you want to open.
