Hi guys i been reading on this forum and you all said to go read it on the other thread about this question
Sorry i couldnt find the thread so here goes
I have a modded Xbox 360
I download the May Xbox Live Update and when i put in my backed up disc it shows me an Xbox 360 logo
Many of you said that it changes my firmware to the original
So if i buy an original disc and play on Xbox Live will i get banned
And also what if my Xbox was hardmodded
I dont know my Xbox is softmodded or hardmod but let's say it is and i downloaded the update and play on Xbox Live
Will I get ban?
Or is it safe for me now to play online with an original disc
Or does the update changes to the original firmware for softmod Xbox only?
Please help !
Sorry for being too long !

your xbox was flashed, no hard mod. your xbox is running stock firmware now as if purchased from the store. if you play an original online you won't get banned, but trying to run a backup might have flagged you for a future ban.

Hardmod --> modify the hardware by installing a modchip to the console.
Softmod ---> modify the software (dashboard/nand) of a console.
Flash ------> to erase the existing firmware of the DVD drive and flash new/different/altered firmware to it.

azhan97, since no one uses modchips, your console, like dagdaniel said, was most likely flashed. It had iXtreme LTPlus1.1 (or lower) on it. Xbox Live detected this and re-flashed your console back to stock firmware. Now you have to re-re-flash it to iXtreme LTPlus1.9 to play backups, and re-re-re-flash it if/when iXtreme LTPlus2.0 comes out.
