long story short

my 360 always played movies fine, any kind. now it cannot. the screen just freezes black. it plays games fine. any help

because i have an xbox that should be able to play them. call me silly but when i buy a product i expect to be able to use it. also i already have an LG receiver that is a dvd player that won't play. so i would not like to have 3 dvd players for one room

um is dvds that wont play, i dont have any movie files, its not connected to my computer of anything and none of these are avi or divx files, i havent updated my xbox since last september or so because of the ban wave

Silly question I know, but the DVD's arnt scratched are they? Are they burned DVD's or copies? If copies what media are you using? Have you played the DVD's somewhere else to make sure they work?

every dvd, perfect or scratched, dvd r or dvd dl r, + and -, the actual copies as well, nothing will play.
