Hello, I had my Xbox 360 modded about a year ago before the newest NXE update which prevents you from playing newer games until you update your console. As I'm sure you all know modding is quite the hassle and I'd rather not do it again. I'm wondering simply if there's a way for me to update my xbox 360 without having to open it up so I can play the newer games that I download and burn. I don't use XBOX live I just enjoy playing the campaigns. Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure what this hassle you refer to is with updating, it is literally a 5 minute process for most drives, and takes no more than 15 minutes for any of them.

You will have to take apart your box to update it though. You may be able to get a firmware version that will make that unnecessary in the future, but at least once you'll have to take it apart and re-flash it if it won't play newer games.
