Xex Loader Guide

So i have a couple of questions

1. i now have xex loader installed, i plugged in my external 1.5tb hdd but it wont show. how can i get it to show

2. if i use the backup dvd to hdd it only copies the dvd part of it

3. will i still need a flash drive after this nand hack in order to play backup game?
