I'm using XBRebooter_8955_3 on a Xenon with an official 20 GB HDD as my test subject.
XeXLoader runs fine from the disc but I can't get it installed to the dashboard.
I pasted the C0DE9999 folder into the 0000000000000000 folder.
The path currently reads HDD1\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0DE99990F586558
bhetrick said that once that folder was pasted, there should be some "installing" bars that pop up, and then XeXLoader should appear in the Game Library (installed).
Well, for some reason, I can't get into the game library. I can go into the video, music, and pictures libraries, but the game library does nothing at all when I press the "A" button. (it's as if the link to the library is broken).
Have you tried to reformat your 20gb hdd and then copy the folder?
I've burnt the xexloader.iso and have used it on 2x 20gb and a 120gb retail hdd but I have the latest xexloader with game on demand from xbins stored on a usb flash drive and just copy and paste from the flash drive to the hdd.
Once you get that going you should check out quickboot so that you can launch games off of a usb hdd from your nxe dashboard.
After re-flashing the stock NAND, re-flashing XBReboot, XeXLoader shows up in my games library.
I've put about 10 games on the USB hard drive. They show up fine in XeXLoader. I was under the assumption that they'd also show up in the games library without patching them, if using XBReboot 8995 3.
If you're using a usb hdd then you can use quickboot to make a shorcut that you copy to your retail hdd. Then you can launch games off your usb hdd from the nxe dashboard from either "all games" or "full games" xbox live games like Marvel vs Capcom 2 etc will show up fine without the work since you have to install them to the retail hdd anyway.
You don't have to patch the games at all.
You can extract the info from the .iso on your pc and copy it to the usb hdd or you can rip it from the game disk onto the usb hdd.
Although I've found out that you drive should be flashed to read "backup games" if you want to copy them to your usb hdd.
