how will the kreon drives fair will this new disc layout make them useless now or nobody tried yet

i think you will need and xbox drive for this,,kreons went out years ago,although it would be nice to flash new firmware and use them again,,

I have been playing gears all week. I went to blockbuster. $8 for a month of gears. Hopefully that will hold me off until they release the FW's we need :)

I working on some older games so I've been fine with the wait. The only issue I got is which game do I play first... Space Marine or Gears 3?

well neither of those boot right now unless they are retail discs. Gears is pretty fun.

I have been using my kreon drive for all my ripping and then using image burn to burn the game. What other options or ways are available to rip a game and then burn it to a disc?

But just stick with what you've been doing:
Rip the ISO with Kreon & Xbox Backup Creator.
Patch the ISO with abgx360.
Check the ISO with abgx360.
Burn the ISO with ImgBurn.
The other option is to use a drive from an Xbox 360 console to rip. It eliminates the need to have to patch the ISO.

Always wondered if there was a way to do it this way. Do you or anyone else have a lInk for a tutorial or video on this process. Is it pretty easy?
