The name says it all. Looking into both options , I'm thinking that the key would be the safest bet for xbl at the moment. But I have seen some pretty impressive features of having a custom dash. I am wondering if games on a custom dash can be played off an external hdd, or do you have to use the internal? Also what are some features that I would be missing out on if I went with the xK3y? Opening up an Xbox is no problem to me. Solder free would be ideal if there is one for slim consoles and the RGH, but I'm willing to solder if there aren't too many points or it is padded (where the points are laid out on the board and you don't need to use wires)
Thanks all,
Tayshun

Xk3y - Just like a stock console, but with the ability to run games from USB hard drives on Xbox Live. No soldering.
RGH/JTAG - Run games from internal hard drive, external hard drives, run emulators, run homebrew, custom dashboards, etc. No Xbox Live. Soldering (pads and wires).

With the key, you don't have to worry about dash updates.

There will be no 'yet'. The team has already said they have back up ways of loading an iso if MS blocks the current way. They've already proven they can overcome any new security and be the first team/person to do it too.

The xkey is a drive emulator. They release updates faster than c4eva which is what I like. No relying on CFW to play backups. I played XGD3 the day they came out where LT 3.0 users had to wait months on FW

OK, no DLC, that sux. Do you still have to patch your ISO's with Topology data to use with the key?

I know you can play on XBL with the xkey but you cant play dlc. Now my question is would the code you enter in for say like Madden to play online be considered dlc? Thanks.
