Hi All,

I really need some help...until a few weeks ago i was using my ps3 along with my cable modem router at uni. However although routers were not allowed in my uni accommodation i managed to get my ps3 and laptop to work using the router. However now my router has been detected and i am unable to connect my ps3 or laptop to the router. I only have one Ethernet port that appears to be Mac address specific so when i try to put the Ethernet cable from the port into my ps3 i cannot connect as the uni service provider only allows 1 Mac address to be assigned to each connection. As my laptop has been registered to my account i am unable to assign another Mac address. I have tried so many different things with the router to get around this but the network keeps detecting the router and i cannot use it.

I am not great with networking and computers so it would be much appreciated if explanations were given in detail. So if anyone has any idea of things i could do to get round this it would be much appreciated.
