So $299 for a PS3 is high compared to $299 for an Xbox 360?
That said, MS confirmed a $199 configuration is in the works, but it's not going to have the same features as the $299 configuration. The $199 version will likely omit a hard drive, maybe the WiFi, and a few of the accessories.
And, like people have said, there are rumors that the PS3 will drop in price soon.
It is only worth the money if you like video games. Otherwise, it is just a glorified 3D bluray player for $100 less than the next cheapest 3D bluray player...oh wait...it can still be worth the money if you don't like video games.
