Hello, I got a 60gb ps3 cechA01 that the blu ray drive is not working on. It powers up and goes to the xmb and everything works as far as that goes. The problem is, is the blu ray drive won't even take a disc in. I have tried two different blu ray drives made for the system(400A). Anyway, I also tried one with the 410aca, because I have done that on another system just like it and it would take the disc and run, but wouldn't show on the screen. This one, won't run or show anything. The 410aca drive did make the blue led flash when I tried to insert a disc, but neither of the 400a drives would make the blue led flash. I also used a known working ribbon cable as well as the power cable. I even changed the psu with a known working psu(which I didn't think would work, but had to check). I think it is a motherboard issue, but would like to know if anyone has fixed this before, and exactly what part of the motherboard provides power to the blu ray drive. I have two other YLOD motherboards for the 60gb and would like to get parts from, just don't know what I need. Anyway, thanks for any help in advance. Also, before anyone ask, I know the drives and lasers are good, can't even get to the stage of disc error problems. Also, I have used the married blu ray motherboard in all testing, don't think it is the blu ray motherboard, due to the fact that the 410 wouldn't run the disc or accept a disc either.
