ok guys i dont understand all the techie words but i can take apart things and put them back together. so heres my problem i had an 80gb ps3 it blew i plugged it into a bad outlet.NO RED LIGHT AT ALL. i already changed the power supply tht didnt work at all the ps3 doesnt cut on at all NO RED LIGHT AT ALL. I heard its probably the motherboard

Well this guy wants to sell me his 80gb ps3 but his blue ray drive isnt working at all, can i just take my working blueray drive out of my broken ps3 and put it in his ps3? IS there any way for me to get his ps3 working with my blue ray drive?

Also if u have any other ideas whats wrong with my origianl ps3 that the red light wont cut on at all tht would be great.THX guys for all ur help in advance

i would be cautious bc if you say it was from a short circuit, then it may not be just the power supply or mobo, it can be manything that can be fried, so it may just be easier to get a whole new ps3, or but it off that guy and replace the bd from one online or something.

Hey so do u think my ps3 tht short circuited could have a bad blue ray as well as other parts? He's gonna charge me $100 for his broken ps3 but if icant fix hisps3 with the parts I have I'm gonna just buy anew 1. So what do u think? Alsothx 4 ur response
