Can you make a backup copy of a PS3 game?

Can you make a backup copy of a PS3 game?

I use to use DVD Shrink and another program to make backups of my DVD movies. If you can do the same with PS3 games can someone tell me what is the best way?

The best way is to put them on an external hard drive (assuming you have no more room on the internal). If one were to try to ship a game for piracy purposes, that would be wrong. But hypothetically, that person could just burn the extracted game onto a disk. That person might also "shrink" the game by removing or cutting the movies...google can help you there.

My question is is it possible to make a exact copy of a game so that I can use the DVD I create to play the game instead of the original and have the originnal as my backup of the game in case something would happen to the copy?

I didn't see how to do it in your answer??

PS3 discs are Bluray. You wouldn't be able to use DVDShrink, even if such a thing worked. Do as KillerBug wrote, and check google. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.
