cannot connet on ps3 to internet after new isp

i changed the provider and have a new ssid using a netgear router/model laptops are working fine wirelessly but ps3 is not, it finds the ssid but then the screen does not go forward, before the new isp, the ps3 was working fine

any help is appreacited

Have you manually changed your PS3's network settings? If you have a password (which you should), then having the PS3 recognize it won't mean anything if it's still using the old password.

Aside from that, I'm not entirely certain. You could try disabling networking on your PS3, and then fuddling with the settings from there without having to worry about it trying to connect to anything.
