i cant go online on my ps3,it keeps saying connecting to matchmaker sever,so when i do i connection test, its saying my router may not support my ip fragments, and the commuincation of some games may be restricted,so contact my router manufacter
Once you've done this and know the value do this ( d-link router)
1. Open a browser and type 192.168.0.1 into the Address field to access the router.
2. Enter admin into the username field; leave the password field blank unless you have set a password.
3. Click the WAN button. In the MTU field, enter the appropriate MTU setting.
4. Click Apply and restart the modem.
Hope that helps at all.. My router had the same problem when I first got my PS3 and tried to play online. It usually means the MTU setting on your router isn't right, or at least that's what it meant for me.. But anyways, hope that fixes your problem. Let us know if you run into trouble
Most likely, your router does not support IP fragments. This is common on "business" routers, as well as some older routers.
Put the PS3 in the DMZ, sometimes this allows for IP fragments.
Turn off the firewall built into the router, as sometimes this is what is blocking the IP fragments. If it still can't get IP fragments with the firewall off and the PS3 in the DMZ, you need a new router to get them. DD-WRT is an open-source router OS that works really well with the PS3, and it supports IP fragments. It can be installed on a ton of different routers, so you should be able to find a decent one for a decent price.
