So the release date is set for November, but I wont be buying this shameless regurgitation of yet another Infinityward masterpiece. Treyarch cannot feel good about being the faceless corporation known as Activision's bitches and agreeing to continue their pathetic existence in the shadows and on the coattails of IW!
And only a year after the release of MW2!?! They aren't even trying to hide the fact that they are cheating consumers. This means that there likely wont be more than one more map pack (the first pack was a ripoff anyways) and if we want to continue to play with much of our friends we need to either A) buy the game and hope they buy it to, or B) talk our friends into not buying the game. BULLSHIT!
MW2 is already getting old so by the time November comes it will be nice to play something else for a change. Doesnt matter how many map pack comes out Im sick of MW2. Its been going downhill ever since the rediculous updates. The knifing is jacked up and sniping doesnt register like it used to. Anyways Xbox 360 owners get Halo Reach to change it up so PS3 owners are stuck with MW2 until November.
Cut Treyarch some slack. Even though I didnt like WAW that much because I hate all the old weapons....everything else was great. Im actually excited to see what they are going to do with black ops. No more nazi zombies obviously but Im sure they will think of something good. Co op campaign is what I liked most about WAW its way better than spec ops on MW2.
I agree that it's just regurgitating Modern Warefare 2. WaW was just another bland regurgitation of the original MW, so I'm not expecting much from this game, either. That said, I haven't bought any of the CoD games, so I'm not losing out much at all. I can just sit back and feel sorry for the gamers who fork out their money to a publisher (Activision) who doesn't give a flying fudge popsicle about them. Constantly regurgitating the same bland, tasteless material year after year - and now spreading it across all genres, as if the yearly installations wasn't enough - without any sort of innovation or refinement is definitely the best way to keep your customer base.
Obviously, I'm not a fan of Activision. Or at least not anymore.
I wonder what they will include this time; if they want to top the night vision goggles, they will have to include an AK47 or maybe the super knife that can penetrate brick, steal, body armor, and flesh all with a single swing.
Yes, it is probably just going to be a rehash of a rehash, but a lot of people will like it anyway. It would be nicer of them if they released it as a DLC, but a good game can sell DLC's as full releases...and if you can sell it for more, why not? It isn't like people are buying the game for offline play; so they are not too concerned about piracy.
