It's pretty obvious that the majority of people in this forum are going to advise you to get a PS3, while the guys in the xbox forum would tell you to go with the 360.
At the moment, the systems are pretty much equal...going forward, it's likely the PS3 will be better option, as it has more advanced features than the 360. Sony has also been talking recently about "3D gaming" coming in the future, I haven't heard anything about this from MS (link).
Threads like this are at best going to give you biased arguments from both sides, giving you no real answers, or at worst start a flame war which ends with the thread being closed...

except the fact that i am a PS fanatic, from PSX day 1, i would advise you to forget the specs like ram, cpu power etc and make you decision based on what you want to do.
- Games library, see the line up of each console and see what suites you better.
- Do you want/ need BD player?
- Are ok with the idea that with 360 you will pay extra for the controller battery's?
- You need WiFi? if yes you will need to pay extra for the 360.
- Are you willing to pay for Networking?
- You want to play copied games?
- Have you tested the controllers? what suites better to your hands?
- Price.

Games Library ... Ps3 exclusive seems better and there is o real XBOX exclusive as all microsoft games are also on windows .. (I dont have a real powerful gaming pc though)
BluRay player - Nah .. i dont really need it
X360 Extra controller Battery Definitely a -ve point but not quite a major problem
WiFi - No .. i dont mind no wifi
Pay for networking - I dont know yet
Play Copied games - Absolutely ... as i stated in the other thread post : If i buy a X360 ... ill buy a modded one cuz "pirated" games are easy to find in Mauritius and are very cheap like 5 Bucks
Controllers : Xbox 360
I dont really find a major difference but i am already used to xbox 1 controller
Price: The price difference between the two are not significant so doesnt matter
(Im avoiding Ps3 Slim)

Why dont you just be respectful towards the people who created the games and pay for them, pirating games is for lamers and people who dont care alot about gaming.

When you buy a console, you should already know the games are going to be expensive, not being able to afford them is no excuse for stealing them, if you cant afford the games, dont buy the console.

I agree with all of this but your inital statement of saying how to forget specs....Earlier ibizagti said ps3 is the better choice for the future and has more advanced features well how is that true if the 360 has better specs on it? It's one or the other the ps3 can't be the better choice in the future if the xbox is more powerful allowing future advancments in graphics and such.(However consoles and their games are left in the dust by modern pc's as is always the case) But yes i agree they are almost the same and if money is not a big deal pick the one with the better controller as that is the biggest difference

PS3 is superior to 360 in any way, in any aspect no question about that, and as you very well highlighted what ibiza wrote and he is right PS3 will for sure last longer than 360 and has a lot more to offer in the future.
When i said forget about the specs i didnt mean it that way, what i meant is, dont look at the numbers, look at the facts, but as you can see no specs, no features, no new things to come, matters more to Darxdog than to play copied games.

I didnt stray from the main subject, you said you wanted to buy a 360 to steal games and be a theif, so i was on topic with my responce.
Also this thread is stupid, it gives stupid fanboys the chance to argue and fight over who has the best console and makes for uncomfortable reading.
Put quite simply, the PS3 is supperior in every way, the 360 is coming to the end of its cycle and Microsoft should be announcing a new console, this year or next.

Next xbox will be by 2012 because Natal will relaunch 360 in some way...
If Microsoft would release a new console this year or next ... Natal would not have been planned for 360 <_<
I am so undecided .....

Just buy the 360 and have done with it. It's pretty obvious that's the one you want so you can steal games...makes me glad the PS3 hasn't been hacked, at least we don't have people coming just to steal stuff.
Like Marcusita said, you should have been aware how much the games would cost before you bought the console. If you can't afford it, you cant have the console.
When you buy a car you make sure you have the cash to pay for tax, insurance, gas, repairs etc before buying it...you dont buy the car and hope you can get away with stealing the rest. Why is gaming any different?
