has anyone got a copy of xenogears to work on ps3 ? if so what disc did you use to boot ?.i cannot get xenogears to play on the ps3 my game is scratched and it cost anywhere from 50-150 dollars for a used one . i have dl'd several different copies of this game that are working for other people but not for me..i have my ps3 open for easy disc swapping i have about 30 ps2 games that i dl'd that all work and a couple of ps1 games that ive got to work like chrono cross and ff9 that my cousin had burned work but no matter how i burn xenogears it will not go past the playstation logo screen .

i have checked ps3 bc site and it says xenogears has no major problems on the ps3
i have the 80gb backwards compatible ps3
i have burned game on 2x,4x,8x w/dvd decrypter and imgburn
i have used verbatium and tdk

i know that on the ps3 certain original ps2 disc that i use to boot the ps3 will clash with some burned games and cause the black screen after the ps2 logo
anyone know anything else to try to get this game working ? im pretty sure that ive tried everything but the skills of some coders are amazing and i thought someone might have some advice

Your best bet is to go and buy an original copy of the game. That's the problem with burned (or, more likely, pirated) games - unreliability.

You can get a Greatest Hits version for fairly cheap nowadays. Nowhere near the $50-100 you're talking about. That would be for the original non-Greatest Hits version.

And what method are you using to play these games? The Swap Switch? Or are you just doing some sort of weird "take the disc out while it's spinning" sorta deal?
