so here is the thing... i jailbreaked my ps3 to kmeaw 3.55 and was using gaia to back up games.. ofcos before updating to 3.56 i installed the OFW of 3.55..... my question is i didnt format the hard drive so it has the package section still there under the game section as "unknown"... will i be in trouble?? although i go online like every day... but dont know what sony might do next.. any help will be greatly appreciated

formatting the harddrive will not erase the files,if you have custom firmware installed,you can only delete the files if you update the offical firmware,those files get flashed to the ps3 nand,not the harddrive,
microsoft after a ban wave

Yes, but there are still files on the hard disk as well...and the only way to get rid of them is to format the drive with a PC...the built-in format tool will not get them all.

hmm you recommend i should do that? cause i have heard that sony might start banning people from psn on firmware 3.60

i thought that the nand get flashed with the CFW and the loaders are on the harddrive,but i could be wrong,

I honestly couldn't say what sony will be scanning for...the method I mentioned is the only 100% sure way I know of. (other than replacing the hard disk entirely)
