ok this thread is probably a repeat and the discussion is out there somewhere. I have an Oct 2007 40 GB
PS3 with a KEM-410 ACA laser/deck. The disk doesn't spin with my old one so i bought another one and
replaced it. Once the disk is inserted it turns slowly about 1/4 of the way and then stops. Is it the
laser again?

Hi nriv

You have possibly not put the top of the disk case back together properly. I had the same problem until I seen this video clip of a repair

I have attached the link below for you to watch (copy and pasre into your browser) and you can fast forward to about the 7 minute mark where the guy describes how it is important you put the case back together the correct way.

I had the same problem as you after a doing the same repair and this worked for me.
