Couldnt even read through the whole first page as my palm blocked my vision suddenly. And uncharted 2's graphics arent all that great, its the story that makes that game. And one of the guys in there was an admin for christ sake. How sad.
It's the Xbox Republic...would you expect anything other than PS3 bashing? Those who say that it is terrible for a company to release a game on only one platform are the same who support rockstar for not releasing the GTA DLCs for the PS3.
Personaly, Uncharted 2 isn't on my buy list...but I hear it is a great game for people who liked Tomb Raider for more than the two reasons on her chest.
As for the PS3 commercial that claims the gameplay looks like a movie, that is total BS. It looks like a cartoon, and not even a high-end japaneese anime style cartoon. Even the gameplay shown in the commercial does not look anywhere near live-action quality...and the commercial is in SDresolution.

I definitely agree that the commercial does nothing for what the game actually looks like or plays like. But if I may take a guess, it seems you never played the first one. If you did get a chance to, then you would understand what the intention of the commercial was trying to portray...because it really is that good of a game.
I didn't see the commercial, but it's possible they meant that the most of the action movie cut scenes are integrated into the gameplay as a seemless transition, as opposed to Uncharted 1. I don't know about all the cutscenes. Just what I've seen on a few in-depth video reviews. The graphics are upgraded and the story is captivating. The protagonists are likeable, and there is just enough humor. The gameplay has improved much since the first one. Better hand-to-hand combat with true stealth introduced. I love the slide-for-cover addition also. It is Tombraider-esque, but to directly compare the two is not really fair, unless you just want to focus on treasure hunting and landscape/environment. Tombraider is a slower game IMO. It's a "quiet" game, if that makes any sense. I would describe it as more of an "adventure" than "action" game. Tombraider has more puzzles, with the occasional bear and tiger attacking you. There is some gun play, but the genre is defintely geared more to solving puzzles. Uncharted is a continunously moving story with continuous action and the occasional puzzle. It's probably the best 3rd person I've played in a long time.
The first Uncharted was engaging and lots of fun. This one is supposed to have a deeper storyline with enhanced gameplay. Supposed to be 15 hours. I just finished the 1st one again on hard in 8 hours, so this will be a nice jump into a new story for me. The multiplayer is a huge, much anticipated addition to fans of the series. And I have to say that based on the demo, it's very impressive.
(On a side note, I happen to find the graphics great also :P)
Anyway, it should be on my office desk when I get home today, unless the wifey holds it for ransom until I take care of some chores on her list....
Wow that site is rediculous. Even the mods are immature. Anyways Uncharted 1 was amazig and way ahead of its time IMO. Im picking up Uncharted 2 tonight I cant wait.
