Hi everyone, i have pre ordered (and yet to receive ) a minimus avr usb to jailbreak my ps3.
I also bought a western digital external 1tb drive with the hope to play my backups off.

Im confused as to weather or not i need to format the drive in fat or ntfs .

i know for an internal drive it has to be fat32.

Can someone answer my question please?

Firstly your internal drive isnt fat32 it is a ps3 format I forget the name of it but it doesn't matter. Secondly at the moment your external drive has to be in fat32 and not ntfs Ive heard that the new backup manager will have support for ntfs but who knows when that is, so presently externals have to be fat32. If you backup your games to your external you have to make sure some files in the backup don't exceed 4gb which is the limit for fat32 but if you backup your games to the internal then you dont need to worry about the 4gb limit

The Jailbreak dongle only supports fat now .

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me.
for some reason i get 2 options when i go to format it, Ntfs and exFAT,
no FAT32,.
i formatted it to exFAT, have any of you come across this before or know if it will still work?
