God of War 3 update with ps3jailbreak

I'm playing a copy of god of war 3 I backed up using backup manager. but when I play an error keeps popping up that I need to exit the software to update the game to version 1.01. using psn. obviously i'm not going to connect my ps3 to the internet or i'll be forced to update to 3.42. I can cancel out and keep playing, but the message keeps popping up every few minutes. is there a permanent way around this? thanks.

Change your internet settings, if its wireless then change it to wired. The game is probably still be able to connect to a server which informs you of patches.

If that doesnt work uninstall then reinstall game. see if that helps

Or disable Internet access entirely. That would (or should, at least) stop you from getting that notification.

Exactlty, its not like you really have any use for it anymore right now. So just put the cable if you have it connected or turn off the wireless while your playing games.
