HELP with spring from optical drive

I took the optical drive apart to clean it and now i have loose spring and dont know where it goes. can you guys help me out.

That spring goes on the flaps of your drive (Little gray clips). Clearly you either disassembled your drive or something popped out of place, but the spring is easily put back in.

Load the spring on the circular spindle and make sure that the hook shaped piece of the spring is in l-shaped insert(You know its right when the spring gives resistance. Load the long barrel part of the spring on the side of the clip that slightly juts out. Putting the clip lightly should allow it to pop back into place.

If that is confusing, just give me your AIM and I'll try to explain it better. I'm in a hurry.

thanx for the info akumapro, just needed to know where it belonged. I kinda understood ur explanation however i didnt know on which side it was. For future references, the spring goes on the side that has a little tab with a very small slot, the L shape part of the spring should go into that slot. thanx again!
