But he has a very legitimate argument. How CAN he get free game demos for the PS3? After all, he only said that he's "getting it soon," which implies that he hasn't gotten it yet, which means he can't access the PSN, which means he can't know about free game demos, which means he can't get them for his nonexistent PS3 HOENOEZ!

Wow, what is so hard about the question. Once you get your internet connection set up, Select the Playstation Store icon, once there you will have around 5 options, one of them being demo's. All of the demos are free. Some are playable some are not. It will tell you if it is playable before downloading.
