Hi, i've just updated my ps3 internal hard drive to 640gb... it has jailbreak on it... i wanted to put some avi files and also some game files that are stored on an external passort drive onto the internal drive...
i've been trying for hours but just seem stuck.. i think it has to be ftp?? which i am not even sure that is right... but i went into the backup manager i don't see any options to copy the games and on the blackbox ftp server when i click on that the only option i get is press X to exit..
can anyone point me in the right direction please.. what am i doing wrong... is there a better program to be using than the backup manager?
If you have jailbreak it used with PS3 break or any another jailbreak items, Here is an idea for you, when you play games from a external hdd , there will be an option says that copy the name to the internal HDD, just choose it , then wait , the game data will be transfered! Speaking about FTP method , i need to know as well , hope someone explain it.
Just took a picture for you from my own PS3 and external PS3 game HDD, when you log in the back up manager , you will see the game list which shows in the picture , and watch the right, Four options.
1. the first one :launch play the game directly from the external hdd
2. the second one : copy copy the game to your internal hdd . then play it
3. Third one: Delete usually i don't use it , i need to save all the games lol
4. Forth : Exit you must know the meaning XXdd.
So i think it is clear for you now.
By the way , i use the PS3 break V1.2 , so the back up manager UI is just like the picture , i don't know what will the UI be like if use other jailbrek items, but i suppose it is similar ... (sorry my bad english , i don't speak english , hope you understand )
