Hi

i have a ps3 that will not read discs it is not the laser as i know it to be working, what would be the symptoms of a faulty
IC BD7956FS on a blu ray logic board when plugged in?

the ps3 wont even play downloaded demos im unsure if it is the origonal Blu ray logic board or faulty component iv heard IC BD7956fS is knowen to go bad

questions

would the system still recgonise the board is there if the IC BD7956FS went bad?( clock turning fast/ loading ( mine does not)

Would it be able to load demos?

im just not sure if this is the origonal board as it came from ebay. there was a short in the system that took out the fan and wireless so its highly lightly that the BD went bad to?

also sometimes i turn the ps3 on and it ejects a disc.
when i put a disc in it spins and sounds very healthy not weird sounds laser locks on and all just no bubble/ moving clock :( and cant play demos
