Installing backups to the XMB

Hello,

I am trying to put my backups on the XMB and load them from the XMB kinda like i did on the PSP. Is there anyway to do that on the PS3? I am running Kmeaw's 3.55 CFW. I did some research and came across something called a PKG builder but i am not sure how that is supposed to work. Any input wud be great! thanks!
