They are wifi enabled, and it is as easy to setup as any wifi device, assuming your router is wifi. If it is not, you can get a good wifi router for about $50.

You can use a wireless router for wifi or to hardwire your ps3 to your modem you would need an ethernet cable but PS3s are wifi compatible so that would probably be better so that there are no wires.

i have a router and the laptop is connected wirelessly so i think i will try to set it up wireless first if not then i will run a cable from the router to it.

yes, but to tell you the truth i really see no difference performance or speed wise by going wireless than connecting it to the router or cable modem via ethernet cable.

It all depends on your router; a good quality router will make wireless almost the same as wired...a crummy router will cause all kinds of problems.

Yup...that is what you get from a crummy router...PCs can deal with it because they have been designed to deal with crummy, half-broken wifi...the PS3 is a bit more picky. It is still slowing down the PCs, but it is a lot less noticeable. The same is true with wired to a point; my old 3Com OfficeConnect router (no wifi) works perfectly with every PC I have ever tried it with...but it kills voice chat on the PS3, even from the DMZ. Plus, it greatly slows the speed of everything else.

yeah well not every one owns a 500 dollar wireless router. might i ask, you suggest one affordable priced router that works well with the ps3.

i think its the PS3's crummy wireless adapter, if you ask me it. being placed underneath the Power supply not to mention not having an external antenna doesn't help any

I use the Linksys-Cisco WRT54GL Wireless-G Broadband Router, with DD-WRT installed. Works like a champ and is about $50.
