Can someone tell me if you can use the Move with JB?
Actually more specifically, can you patch pre-existing games to function with Move on a JB machine? Im interested in the Move but I want to keep my machine Jailbroken.
First you have to be on 3.40 or 3.41 for move to work, if you are on 3.21 or 3.15 then it wont work.
The controllers do work, I can play Sports Champions just fine with my move controller. But backup managers do not recognise move controllers, so when using a backup manager you have to use a normal controller.
I cant say I quite understand. If im Jailbroken at 3.41 and I go out and get the Move kit addon with Sports Champions, will I be able to maintain 3.41 (JB Status) and use Move on Sports Champions and the other newly Move enabled games?
I want to use Move but stay Jailbroken. Can I do that? If so, on games like Resident Evil that have Move updates, can I update on a JB machine?
Most games that have Move support are reported to work, including Heavy Rain and Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition. I have RE5, but I haven't been able to try it yet in JB mode with Move, so I can't confirm. For further info, you should check out the official compatibility list at www.psjcl.com

Hope this helps!
I am speaking of the pre-existing titles like you mention. Resident Evil and Heavy Rain. I do understand that the new titles may require a higher firmware, but I speaking about enabling Move on the current titles. According to psjcl for RE5:
Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition USA 3.41 1 Yes Yes Partial N/A 14.34 You can install the update with the package and replace the eboot with the one on the disc. The Playstation Move information comes up when you start the game but the move controls don't work.
Well, the '1' by itself signifies that the original backup manager was used to boot the game. Many advances have been made since that time (about a month ago). I'm currently using Gaia Manager 1.03.1 to boot my games, and have had no issues. Hopefully, this manager will have improved compatibility with Move.
I'll give it a try tonight, if I can find the time, and I'll post my results tomorrow.
