I don't know if I am right but I am in favor of doing things by yourself in order to have more freedom. There is a lot of discussion about many dongles that are sold here and there and there is a lot of confusion about their upgradability etc.
Taking the later into consideration, don't you agree that the best way to jailbreak is to do it by yourself using AT90USB ? In this case you will have no worries about the future. Whenever a new version appears you just update your USB. Am I right?
If you agree with my point of view, let's start collecting in this thread information about AT90USB models that can make our life easier. I had a look at ebay and there are a lot of models. Which ones are the best? Let's have them all here...
I know for sure that AT90USB1287 is OK since i have found this tutorial
The best method is the Teensy 2.0++; as the teensy boards will almost certainly get updates first, and as the ++ has more power and ram, which may (or may not) be required for future versions. In addition, the Teensy 2.0++ is cheaper than most jailbreak methods, including the test board you linked to.
The only problem with all that is the backorders...the Teensy 2.0++ had a 2 month backorder last time I checked. Then again, that digikey part number is also backordered...and there isn't even an eta for it.
