Just replaced my lens but...

ok i replaced my lens for my 80GB 4usb(PS2 backwards compatible) PS3 and it started reading games agian. it loads and everything like its supposed to do. but theres one problem, it takes longer to load. before when i played FFXIII ir didnt take long to load in between cutscenes. now the screen goes black and sits there for a few secs before going ot the next scene. it also takes a while to start up on games as well. the lens i bought came with a rail so all i had to do was unscrew it and screw the other one on. and i put the wires back as well. did anyone else have this problem? did i miss a wire or something?

in all likelyhood you probably got a refurbished laser replacement ie. not good quality/used because what you descrive sounds like a failing or old used laser that works and reads games but takes a long time doing so because its not new.
