Hey guys, ive exhausted all my options on my own, and am giving up. I bought a ps3 off someone and it worked fine at his house, and then stopped working. It would play br-d for a min and then get a disc error, and it would play dvds and cds just fine, but then all of a sudden, it wouldnt play these anymore. I cracked the thing open and the drive wasnt spinning, nor was there a red light emitting from the lens. After hours of trying to fix it, I finally went ahead and bought a lens assembly with a new deck. I turned it on, and it worked for about 5 min (well the movie played for 5 min) and then it just froze. i shut off the ps3, turned it back on, and now all it does is flash the red light a few times and then nothing...constant blue light from the front. No spinning what-so-ever. I am out of options...i should have just sent the thing to sony...would have been cheaper.
