My PS3 is not starting up

My PS3 is not starting up. When I turn it on, the light goes green for a sec, then it turns red, I would hear some beeping sound and won't continue to start. I can't put in any disc as well.

Please help.

you have an over heating problem, the beeping sound is most likely followed a flashing yellow light then a red light, basicly you let it get to hot, let it sit an open area, make sure its not in a confined space where there is no air circulation, that is a complete no for any electronic device. you would want it out in the open, and good air circulation. if this does not help, there are other solutions to this but may break your warranty, one small question, is it a fat or slim ps3?

yes. im having the same problem it just started today. it happened like 5 minutes ago. what do i do? and i have the ps3 fat...
