I am thinking of getting a PS3 and having it jailbroken or what not. Will this allow me to put in any game and put it on the hard drive to play or are there some games that will not work. I see assaisns creed being talked about but i'm not sure if that is just for dl'ing reasons. I am more looking forward to Twisted Metal and the show. I know nothing in the future is certain but should these games work or might it be like the 360 where you might have to keep updating?

Whatever you do, don't buy a jailbreak device. Just update to custom firmware 3.55 kmeaw and use Multiman 1.13.04 to back up your games. When the 3.60 update comes out, you will need to update to 3.60 custom in order to run all the new games that will require it and play on psn.

For that matter, you would have to update the Sony firmware for PSN too...you just wouldn't have to use a USB drive like you do with custom firmware.

Also, multiman is a bit buggy still; if games don't work, you can try Rogero Manager. If these managers don't load, it is because you need to get the LVL2.pkg file; some systems still need this even with a manager that includes it.

Future updates always bring in great debacles. You just have to wait and deal with it when the time comes. But for now? The PS3 is as open as a ****'s ****!!!

Just do a kmeaw and keep up with the good ps3 sites, psgroove, ps3hax etc...
