If you missed the PlayStation blog news posting yesterday Dr. Richard Marks & Assistant Anton Mikhailov where on the Engadget Show to Live demo something new they JUST coded the night before (though have discussed/shown ideas previously) which shows some AMAZING Minority Report esque Multi-Touch & Augmented Perspective/Reality Controller/Camera input & interaction. The YouTube video explains this better than words can. Enjoy!

Wow. That looks really, really cool. The "virtual camera" thing especially. I seriously doubt that developers will use the Move's capabilities to their fullest, though. (Either that or we're just overestimating the Move's capabilities.)

There's a second bit uploaded by the same guy; it's just the "Move as Sword" demo redone, but I'll link it nonetheless:

EDIT:

Taking a second look at that demo, it occurs to me that you could very well do a sort of virtual reality bit, especially if these things are used in conjunction with the 3D effects. Y'know, have a helmet with two Moves and two small video screens in front of each eye (to create the 3D effect), and maybe two more Moves for each hand. And have the PS3 display a 2D rendering of the image on the main TV or so.

It'd be expensive like nobody's business, but it'd be something neat to see.
