Possible reasons for my Dead BD Drive?? Please help

So.. i got the wont read disc error with my 80GB PS3.. the motostorm edition.. it is way out of warranty so i figured i'd first clean the laser and then order one if that didnt help..

well i cleaned it :)
then i broke the Thin Sensor Wire :)

and now the BD Will not do anything at all, the ps3 powers up, it goes to the main screen, but no matter how far i push the disc in it does not accept it..

i've searched for a repair to this but it seems like i cant get the right keywords to find an answer

please help me if you have an idea of whats going on with my ps3

Hey I have the same problem and no one has responded to me on the blu-ray drive dead forum. Let me know if you found the solution>

Well.. it turns out, i had a loose ribbon cable. But a new problem i have is... The Disc will not spin, i hear the drive trying to spin it. but what happens is i hear the disc rubbing on something and it never goes to a full speed spin.. Anyone have a solution to that?? Thank You
