problems with ff7 i downloaded it but it says cannot play this game at the current video output setting any help?

For a While i have escaped time but to return when they need you most to come back on a vendetta like a have thats just simply MAGIC!

Well, I guess... what ARE your video settings? What kind of TV do you have? How are you connected? What resolutions (480i/p, 720p, 1080i/p) do you have checked? etc.

I'm guessing you downloaded it from the PSN, right? (If it's a PC emulator issue - or even a Linux emulator running off your PS3 - then that's a bit trickier. You'd probably have more luck in a forum dedicated to that stuff. They're much more knowledgeable about these things, not to mention up to date.)

downloaded through psn. display is 480p 720p. ntsc. connected through hdmi

Hm... I'm not sure, then. Have you contacted Sony about this? I've never downloaded any PS1 games off the PSN, so I don't know anything about this.

Alternatively, I suppose you could try downloading the game again.

i had the same problem with MGS1 german version. i had to reconfigure the display settings after that it worked just fine

just go to the display settings and select the reenter/reselct the resolutions and save. that worked for me
