As to the theoretical capabilities of lv2 privileged code...it would seem that it is capable of doing anything given a good enough programming scene with enough time...there is no reason why it should be impossible to do anything; hard yes...but never impossible...that is the hacker's creed.

The PSN thing is a bit of a question...even with a CFW, written from the ground up, and with closed source so that Sony would not have such an easy time finding holes, they still have a lot of tricks up their sleeves. It seems likely that (at the very least) they would find ways of detecting the CFW, and then banning accounts. I am sure the CFW will be both faster and more feature rich than the Sony firmware, and sony will probably use their own lack of features as a way of detecting a CFW.

As to the jetpack guy...that was rather cool by my standards, but I am a geek...so it must have been very geeky and nothing else.
