Hi i currently do not have a ps3 but my friend does and I was wondering is there a way how you can play ps3 games through the xmb, or preferably a external hard drive connected to the ps3 for the ps3 to load games from there of the files? Or is there a correct way to play a backup? Like the .iso of all the files or something, and please help dont be like some people and tell you to find out on your own.

There aren't any mods or softmods to get games to load off a hdd, or from the XMB. Even though you can see ps3 games uploaded to websites, there is no way to play those backups (yet).
