Sup guys, jus got a question... see my PS3 bluray drive recently died so i cant play games anymore on my PS3... so i jailbroke my PS3 using the simple custom ps3 3.55 GOEHOTS jb update... ( i was on OFW 3.55 )... then i installed open manager, multiman and OpenPS3FTP v1.1... went to a friends house, backed up my red dead redemption and black ops and decided to use the FTP app to ftp the games to dev_hdd0/GAMEZ/... so now i open the openmanager i see both games on my hard drive, but when i run... it boots back to the XMB and nothing happens... where am i going wrong and what am i supposed to do?

there are patches around relating to the black screen problem (but in the new waninko fw this is fixed); find them with google. BUT; keep in mind that not all games work the way you want it to. most games actually need any game disc in the drive (for the BD emulation), only a few games work without a gamedisc in the drive.
i know since i have the same problem like you, laser died.
so i also want to find out the few games that can run WITHOUT a disc in the drive. for now, there are not many. perhaps in future CFW updates they will find a way around it, but for now...
Em not much of a solution, but upgraded back to OFW 3.55 then went to CFW Kmeaw 3.55... then intstalled Maia manager, multiman, Rogero Manager. So i manage to FTPDead Space 2 and went into rogero manager to boot it up... it returns to the XMB then i go to app_Home_PS3.... ok Joy! ... DEAD SPACE 2 pops up!!!... then i click X... then the screen goes black then it says " Please Wait "... for like a split second then boots back to XMB... and i know dead space 2 doesnt require a disc in the drive cause i did research and apparently both Dead space and Dead space 2 dont require discs in the drive. Only seen a Dead Space 1 custom eboot.BIN... anyone seen a Dead Space 2 custom eboot.bin... bought the game and backed it up today and its frustrating enough i cant play it :(
