I have been a member of the PS2 PCSX2 Emulation community for 3 years now, and have made some substantial progress in the emulation scene. So I know that the possibility of emulation of the PS3 is not only unlikely within the next 4 years, but ultimately impossible.
Why is it then, that I see PS3 ISO's for download? I mean, yeah, I dump games too, sure, but only on my server, because no one can do anything with ISO's yet, and you don't usually see many major ISO release updates when the system is currently incapable of running homebrew, or even being modified in any way.
I have a PS3, and am fortunate enough to have the money to buy these games, but like any other hacker, or person with a brain, being able to just go grab a copy of WET or something just to try it out is appealing, and I would like to know if someone has really seen any breakthroughs in the PS3 Hack community, that for some reason Google, and I are both unaware of.
Thanks so much for reading, and all answers are appreciated, as well as questions related to the topics.

Because people like wasting their time, that are they are dumb, those ISO's that you see are useless, they are missing vital information, like keys and other sectors

It depends what you mean by break throughs, if its running ISO's then no.
There have been small attempts to run emulators via the XMB, but Sony have blocked them.

They dont, PS3 tests can run ISO's created by their machine and not by any other, as i stated before, the ISO's which are mainly done with SAK are missing important files etc.
