PS3 JB updating Internal Hard drive

hi, have a fat PS3 with ps3break usb on it, works fine modded. now i took out the hard drive and installed a 1T hard drive. had to adjust the casing on it alittle, but it works fine. i pluged the controller in and put the 3.41 firmware on a usb and it installed.
now i put the ps3break usb and loads up, and i installed backup manager and it loads but doesnt go to the main backup menu. i tried installing Gaia and i click to load it but goes to the main PS3 menu. any way to fix this ? thanks

Where did you get your 3.41? There are two versions of it, and one of them does not work with larger hard drives.

hi, i dont remember which site i went to, i have a few of them booked marked, i know it does show 8 hundread and something gb's available under settings. ill try the other one if it should work. thanks

hi, i tried the open manager , but still no go. I clicked on Open Manager and it goes back to the PS3 desktop. same results with the Gaia. it used to work just fine, but when updating to a new bigger internal hard drive this problem comes up. maybe i have the wrong 3.41 version i installed ?

That is all I can think...usually larger hard drives do not cause this.
