ok I looked around didnt see anything about this.

I can use Ulaunch.elf and my Swapmagic disk to access the hdd of the ps3.
but I cant find the data files for the games.

best I can do is transfer ps2 game saves.
regular ps3 game saves are easy to bkup but the game data is another thing.

in order to back up I would need a ext drive the same size as the source.
I dont have that, I only want to save the game data not every file on the drive.

is there anyway Im not seeing to get that Game data saved without using a big drive to do a transfer to?

oh and I did backup my 250gb drive on my pc using hd clone, saved it as a image file,
then I used my brand new 640gb drive to transfer too. it crashed and destroyed regions of drive, so I am loathed to try this again. I have to send drive back for replacement now. and I just got it. :(

Been doing some reading and I think the only way is to do a ftp.
