PS3 Sixaxis controller won't charge

I own an 80 GB PS3, bought it 2 years ago and the other day both of my controllers refused to charge. I plugged each one into the different usb hubs on the PS3 and none of the lights lit up. I tried a different usb cable, same result. I also reset both of them using the tiny reset button underneath. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot these things? I don't know how to tell if it's the PS3 hubs, system or the controllers themselves. But seriously, what are the odds that both fail at the same time? Thanks for any and all suggestions!!!

Try putting a flash usb drive in your usb ports. This way you'll know if the usb hubs are dead or if the controllers have gone kaput. If your usb hubs are dead, you're gonna have to call Sony, but i remember reading somewhere than you can charge the ps3 controller through other usb ports( remember reading about it working with the Wii). Hope this helps :)
